The Tucson Saguaros defeated the Grand Junction Razorback Suckers 14-2 behind strong pitching and a seven-run seventh inning.

Tucson scored two runs in the second inning, added three in the fifth, one in the sixth and broke the game open with seven runs in the seventh.

Demitrius DiMatteo led the Saguaros on the mound, throwing seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits.

Jorge Carrero powered the Tucson offense with a home run and four RBIs. Trent Malone added a triple and drove in three runs, while Gavy Perez-Torres doubled and had two RBIs.

Sloan Laird went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI for Tucson.

Grand Junction scored both of its runs in the eighth inning. Wyatt Cunningham and Grant Devecsery each drove in a run for the Razorback Suckers.

Tucson finished with 14 runs on 9 hits and played error-free baseball. Grand Junction finished with 2 runs on 3 hits and committed 5 errors.
