Tucson Saguaros Rally Past Pecos Bills 16-14

July 12 2024 The Tucson Saguaros rallied past the Pecos Bills 16-14 in a high-scoring game at Kino Stadium. Tucson collected 12 hits and overcame Pecos’ 13-hit attack to secure the victory. Pecos built an 8-3 lead through three innings after scoring three runs in the first four in the second and one in the third. Tucson answered with two runs in the fifth and four in the sixth before both teams scored four times in the seventh to leave the game tied at 13. The Saguaros took the lead with three runs in the eighth and held on despite Pecos scoring twice in the ninth. Zachary Rice led Tucson with four hits including a home run and two triples while scoring four runs and driving in three. Gavy Perez-Torres scored four runs and reached base three times on walks while Jordan Harrison-Dudley drove in four runs. Zachary Campbell added two hits two RBI and two walks. Pecos received a four-hit six-RBI performance from J. Rodriguez and three hits and four RBI from Travis Bonner. T. Taufahema added two hits and three RBI. Gavin Grubbs earned the win for Tucson after allowing one hit in two-thirds of a scoreless inning while J. Palafox pitched a scoreless inning. Pecos reliever G. Mills took the loss after allowing five runs three earned in 1.1 innings.
