Tucson Saguaros Power Past Trinidad Triggers 14-2

June 13 2023 The Tucson Saguaros scored early and often in a 14-2 victory over the Trinidad Triggers. Tucson collected 14 hits and built a 10-0 lead through two innings after scoring four runs in the first and six in the second. The Saguaros added three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to complete the scoring. Branlyn Jaraba led Tucson with two hits and seven RBI, including two home runs. Kirkland Trahan scored three runs and drove in three while adding two hits and three walks. Madison Santos and Jordan Medina also had two hits apiece, while Medina recorded a double and Jaraba contributed seven RBI in the offensive outburst. Blake Garrett earned the win for Tucson after allowing three hits and one run over six innings. He struck out nine and walked six, with the lone run charged as unearned. Gavy Perez-Torres and Zachary Campbell combined to finish the game, allowing no earned runs over the final three innings. Trinidad scored its two runs in the sixth and eighth innings and finished with three hits. Dylan Gobel took the loss after surrendering 11 hits and 14 runs over five innings, including 11 earned runs. Luis Hernandez and Rue Akagawa combined for four scoreless innings in relief.
